Basia Pazio is a visual artist based in Warsaw. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the field of Media Arts, she developed her distinguished master's thesis under the mentorship of Professor Krzysztof Wodiczko and Dr. Ewa Bobrowska. Her artistic explorations delve into themes of identity, memory, and self-healing, expressed through an interdisciplinary approach that combines various media and techniques.
Pazio’s practice centers on vulnerability, shame, disintegration and rebirth, and the emotional resonance of farewells and transitional life stages. She creates performative and interactive spaces where the audience becomes an integral part of the work, transforming passive observation into active, participatory experience.
Her projects seek not only to captivate but also to provoke reflection, inviting deeper engagement with both personal and collective human narratives.
